CLEAR CHOICES

Cookie Policy

Last updated: 18 August 2026

1. Essential preference storage

BagClaim stores your analytics choice in your browser under the local storage key bagclaim-consent-v1. This is necessary to remember whether you allowed or rejected analytics. It does not contain claim details and is not used to follow you across other websites.

BagClaim also stores whether you accepted or dismissed a language suggestion under the local storage keybagclaim-language-suggestion-v1. The preference expires after 180 days and contains neither your IP address nor country.

2. Optional analytics

If you allow analytics, Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics 4 through BagClaim's first-party script path. GA4 may then set first-party cookies such as _ga and_ga_* to distinguish visits and produce aggregate usage reports. BagClaim does not load GTM or GA4 before consent.

3. Advertising stays disabled

Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation remain denied. BagClaim does not use advertising cookies in the current product.

4. What is measured

Allowed analytics can record non-content events such as starting the free check, selecting a claim type, completing a step, adding the claim pack to checkout, completing a purchase or downloading a pack. Analytics must not include passenger details, PIR references, flight numbers, entered text, document names, file contents or claim amounts.

5. Change your choice

You can reject analytics and continue using the core claim builder. Use the button below at any time to review the choice. If you withdraw previous consent, BagClaim sends a denied consent update, removes accessible GA cookies and reloads the page.

6. Provider and operator information

Google's own privacy and data-transfer terms apply when optional analytics is enabled. Only the Google Tag Manager script itself is served through BagClaim's first-party /relay/gtm.js path. After you allow analytics, your browser sends measurement requests directly to Google, which then receives ordinary connection data such as your IP address.
